Hey Honey! I'm Tayla, the founder and owner of Melrose Honey. After majoring in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Marketing in college and studying abroad in the fashion capital of the world, Milan, I just knew fashion was something I wanted to pursue. Whether it's helping pick out an outfit for a special occasion or styling, I've always been the "go to" person for my friends and family for all the fashion advice. From interning for a wholesale jewelry company, to working for a luxury brand, to working in the bridal industry and traveling to NYC for bridal market, trades shows, and fashion shows, I’ve learned so much about the business of fashion along the way.
I've always dreamt of owning my own clothing boutique and I myself have always enjoyed the convenience of online shopping so I decided to combine the two and open my own online clothing boutique. Melrose Honey is where you will find unique and trendy pieces that you can't find in your typical brick and mortar store. I wanted to make sure that the clothes we sell are not only affordable, but of good quality which is so important! If you look good you feel good and nothing makes me happier than seeing all of you babes in MELROSE HONEY and loving your outfit!
FUN FACT: Fashion runs in my family! My former job just so happened to be in the same building that used to be my Great Grandmother Elizabeth Riley's dress shop in Boston on Boylston Street. The name Driscoll's still stands on that building today. In 1906, at just 14 years old, my Great Grandmother left school with holes in her shoes and began delivering hats to Driscoll’s exclusive couture dressmakers. In 1930, after years of hard work and dedication her boss ended up giving the business to her and she went on to be one of the most successful business owners in the city designing for the socialites of Boston. I love to look back on her story and know that anything is possible!
